One of the aims of Youth Voice Canterbury is to Connect Young People! The YVC network connects youth with decision-makers, with awesome opportunities to get involved, and with each other. We hold regular 'Youth Connect' events throughout the year to bring together out network to share ideas and collaborate. These events are organised by YVC or one of the groups in the network and can include training and workshops, leadership development, learning something new, being consulted on external projects, and usually lots of kai! See below for details about our next Youth Connect or get together!
#ACTIVATE 2019 SOUTH ISLAND YOUTH CONNECT
We're back again for the 4th year of #Activate: South Island Youth Connect - an action packed weekend of trainings, workshops, team bonding and fun! This year #Activate is on the road to a new venue, Wainui Park (YMCA). Here, you can enjoy stunner views of the forests surrounding Wainui Park and hang out in your free time with other like-minded young people on the interconnecting balconies. Also, each room has an ensuite (bonus!)
Get ready to be inspired, challenged and come home with an expanded skill set after you attend multiple workshops and sessions with inspiring speakers. This is your chance to meet lifelong friends who are passionate just like you, and learn how to be the best team member you can be. We are super excited to share our lineup of speakers and facilitators with you over the next few weeks!
Let your coordinator, chairperson or staff support know that you are keen to be a part of the #Activate Alumni, and direct them towards the registration form below! If the form below isn't working, send our Project Manager an email at firstname.lastname@example.org, along with any other questions you may have!

For each person this covers one night of accomodation (Saturday 6th April), food for the Saturday and Sunday, a t-shirt, goody bag, and access to all the training, workshops and speakers over the weekend.
