December 2015 hosted by the Christchurch Youth Council

December 2015 was the Christchurch Youth Council's turn to host, beginning with a tour of the Arts Centre and then a tram ride around the City as Don Miskell (Deputy Director, CCDU) told us about the city's public spaces and residential development.  Next there were presentations and a workshop on Life after Youth Council', followed by the groups in the network sharing what's been happening for them.

October 2015 hosted by the Hurunui Youth Council

The theme for this Youth Connect was 'Heritage and Youth', beginning with a tour around some local heritage. This was followed by  workshop about our thoughts on heritage and why it's important to youth. The YVC network were then treated to an afternoon at the Hamner Springs hot pools!

December 2014 hosted at Christchurch Community House

The YVC network came together to workshop the language of the Youth Employability Skills Framework and how it can be more youth-friendly. We also spent some time connecting, with each group presenting on what they do, highlights of 2014, and plans for 2015.

October 2014 hosted at Rivertown Cafe

The YVC network were brought together in Kaiapoi to connect, discuss Youth Friendly Places and Spaces, and take part in workshops around youth mentoring and what good Youth Engagement looks like.
